THE CRUNCH GUIDE

How to air fry frozen samosas.

The simple version: keep them frozen, follow the pack instructions and let hot circulating air do its thing.

Important: exact temperatures and times can vary by product and appliance, so always follow the instructions on the pack.

Why air frying works

An air fryer circulates hot air around the pastry, making it a natural fit for frozen snacks where the goal is a crisp exterior without deep frying.

1. Cook from frozen

Unless the pack says otherwise, transfer the samosas directly from the freezer to the appliance.

2. Leave space for airflow

Avoid tightly packing the basket. Air needs to circulate around the samosas for more even browning.

3. Follow the pack

Follow the time, temperature and turning instructions shown on the pack.

4. Meat fillings need particular care

For meat fillings, follow the pack instructions carefully and make sure the centre is piping hot before serving.

5. Serve immediately

For the best texture, serve after cooking rather than leaving crisp pastry sitting in steam.
